Picture Day Tomorrow
Students should wear chapel attire for Picture Day tomorrow, September 22. Information on how to order pictures has been sent home. If you need another copy, please stop by the school office.
Chili’s Lunches
There are two ways for students to order. They may turn in cash or a check to their teacher in the morning, or lunches may be placed through the Square link or QR code. Lunch orders must be placed by 9:00 am daily.

Guitar Lessons
Lessons are available on Mondays 3:15 to 3:45 for students in 3rd through 8th Grade. The cost is $50 per month. Contact Mrs. Martinez in the school office to sign up.
PAY FOR GUITAR LESSONS
Extended Daycare
Before and after school daycare is open from 6:00 am to 6:30 pm.
The drop-in rate is $5 per hour or fraction thereof. Payment is due at the time of service. Payments can be made by cash, check, or through the QR code on the Sign-in/Sign out sheet and on the Daycare Parent Board.
A monthly rate is available for families who use the before and after school care on a regular basis. The cost is $200 per month. Families who would like to sign up for the monthly rate should contact the school office.
Thank you to everyone who joined us for our first PTF meeting on the 17th! Your energy and ideas set a fantastic tone for the year, and we’re excited to start tackling our goals together.
We’re kicking things off with a Bake Sale on Friday, September 25th, at noon, where parents and kids alike can start the weekend with a sweet treat and a little community fun.
Our first fellowship event, Game Night, is right around the corner on Tuesday, September 29th at 6:30 PM. We can’t wait to see families come together for an evening of laughter and friendly competition. If you’d like to help with setup, we’d love the extra hands; you can join us in the sanctuary at 2 PM on the 29th.
Looking ahead, our next PTF meeting will be Thursday, October 8th, and we’re already looking forward to another opportunity to connect and collaborate.
Pre-Kindergarten
Thank you to Mrs. Mazariegos for volunteering in my classroom on Wednesday! The kids and I had a lovely time! I would also like to thank you for all the crafts. The kids are going to have so much fun with those, and thank you to you and your husband for the bottled water. It is all very much appreciated!
This month our theme is All About Me, Health & Nutrition, and Apples. Our letters are Ii, Bb, and Ee. The numbers are 1, 2, and 3. The shape is circle and the color is red. We will learn about creation, Adam & Eve, and Noah obeying God. Fall is here! Yay! God bless!
Kindergarten
There will be a Bible and Poem Test on Friday.
Hello Kindergarten Families!
We had a successful first week of school. The children are getting well acquainted with our routine. Please continue to encourage your child to take out their folder every morning on their own and place it where it belongs. Also, please continue to encourage your child to complete their homework as neatly as possible; this includes coloring. Friendly reminder: Tuesday is Picture Day, and all students must come dressed in their chapel uniform. Friday is a Minimum Day, and school will be out at 12 pm. Please still pack a snack for your child. We hope you all have a blessed week!
First Grade
Thank you to David’s mom for coming in this week and being ready and willing to help out in the classroom.
This week, we have our first poem test on Tuesday. Our first Math test is on Friday, as well as our Bible verse test.
We have made it through the first week of school! This week is full of new adventures as we start our first week of reading groups. Keep an eye out for the sign-up sheet on the parent board outside the classroom. Families are encouraged to volunteer to come and read with students if they are able.
Tuesday is fall picture day. Students should come in their chapel clothes with their best picture-ready smile.
Second Grade
We had a wonderful first full week of school! This week we have our first Language and Math tests.
Tuesday is Picture Day, so students need to wear their chapel uniform.
Friday is a minimum day.
The Christmas Play auditions are next week during school.

Third Grade
We had a great first full week of school!
Thanks to those of you who got your homework turned in each day. I’m so proud of you all!
This week is very full, so make sure you check your homework packets for upcoming announcements. Tuesday is our fall picture day. Please remember to wear your chapel clothes.
Tuesday is also our first math test over addition and subtraction. Thursday will be our first history test over chapter 1. Remember to review your study guides, because you will not be able to use them on the test. Friday will be a language test over sentences, subjects and predicates, and end punctuation. It is also a minimum day, with dismissal at 12 pm. Remember to keep memorizing your “Pumpkin Poem” that will be recited on 10/2.
Fourth Grade
Thank you to those who turned in the permission slips and money for our Nov. 4th field trip. Money and permission slips are due by October. 1
Thursday, we have the Ch. 1 English test, and on Friday, our Bible memory and spelling tests.
Fifth Grade
Thank you to all my parents who signed up to the ClassDojo!
We will have a Science and history quiz as well as a Math test this week.
Parents, please join us this Friday at 9 AM in the chapel as 5th grade will present chapel flags and sign to the song “Aim High”.
Mrs. J is planning our first field trip and will need parents to submit their volunteer Driver Application form for the school year. Thanks in advance to all parents who are already approved drivers.
Middle School
Thank you, Mrs. Rodriguez for donating emergency water bottles to our classroom!

Literature 6 students are getting copies of “The Tale of Despereaux” for the first book report this week and need to read 20 pages every night (including weekends).
All permission slips and money for our field trip to the Western Science Center are due by Wednesday.
