More Teacher Time for Your Child
The average school in Southern California has a ratio of 25 students for every teacher. With our average class size of 12 and maximum class size set to 20, the teachers at Valley Christian Academy grant students with the advantage of a more personal and thorough learning experience.
A Focus on Morality
Every morning each class at Valley Christian Academy begins with prayer, and teachings from the Bible. On Fridays, the school assembles in the main building for Chapel. Each child is encouraged and given the opportunity to introspect the state of their world view, moral beliefs, and the condition of their spiritual well being as presented in the Bible. Along with Biblical council from our educators, we are blessed to have seen so many generations of mature, and conscientious young people graduate from our school.
A Safe and Wholesome Environment

While we can’t control everything that children think and talk about, we can majorly influence the turn of the conversation. At Valley Christian Academy we go through great lengths to keep a watchful eye over our students, because we believe that we are stewards of your child’s mental and spiritual as well as academic.

- VCA offers classes to students from Pre-Kindergarten through Eighth Grade.
- Extended Day Care is available for both before and after school.
- We maintain a student to teacher ratio of no more than 20 to 1. Smaller class sizes allow us to provide more individual attention to be invested to help each student meet their full potential.

- We are a member of the Association of Christian Schools International
- VCA holds a weekly chapel services where children worship and learn Biblical lessons in a church environment.
- Our 4th-6th grade students participate in the Inland Empire Christian Athletics League.
- Students have the freedom to bring their own lunch, or to participate in our lunch program. The choice can be made day-by-day with no subscription requirements for our lunch program.
- Students from third grade and up have the opportunity to learn guitar afterschool.
- Elementary and Jr. High students participate in a variety of field trips.
- VCA utilizes curriculum from Bob Jones University Press, Abeka, and Purposeful Design.
- Valley Christian Academy’s four acre campus is located in Moreno Valley, California. We have provided education for children of Moreno Valley, Riverside, Perris, Hemet, San Jacinto, Menifee, Murietta, Yucaipa, Beumont, and Rancho Mirage. Our proximity to March Air Reserve Base, Kaiser Permanente, and Riverside County Regional Medical Center have made us an ideal school choice for children of the professionals of the area.

It is my heart and my passion to help others to discover their God-given gifts and talents, and use them to serve God and others. I believe that we can understand all truth including Reading, Writing, and Math in a deeper way when we study it from a Biblical perspective. I am so blessed to journey through this season of life with our students and families. For fun, I love to spend time at amusement parks and traveling with my family.
God called me to teach way back when my first born went to Sunday School for the first time in 2006. God would give me creative ways to bring the lesson to 6 year olds. It was fun and most importantly, I knew God was using me to serve in this capacity. Years later, I still love what I do and God continues to use me to serve the students here at VCA.

It has always been my heart’s desire to help and encourage others in seeking the Lord to become all that the Lord has called them to be and to help others see and believe that the Lord has a great plan and purpose for each one’s life. I am extremely grateful and privileged to be part of a team that encourages both strong faith in Christ and outstanding academic achievement. A fun fact about me is that I really enjoy playing escape room games. I enjoy the complexity of the puzzles and strategy of the game. Most importantly, I absolutely love being a grandma!

What makes Valley Christian Academy different from other Christian schools in Moreno Valley?
At Valley Christian Academy, faith isn’t limited to Bible class. Biblical truth is integrated throughout the learning experience while students receive challenging academics, personal attention, hands-on learning opportunities, and encouragement from teachers who care about their spiritual, academic, social, and personal growth.
How much individual attention will my child receive?
We intentionally maintain smaller classes so teachers can know their students personally, recognize individual strengths and challenges, and provide meaningful support. Our class size is capped at 20 students.
How does VCA combine strong academics with Christian education?
Our students study core subjects including math, language arts, literature, penmanship, science, history, physical education and the arts while learning through a biblical worldview. We believe academic excellence and spiritual development should strengthen one another.
Does VCA offer options for working parents who need care beyond regular school hours?
Yes. We understand that many families need more than a traditional school-day schedule. Our extended-care options provide supervised care before and after school, with additional programs available during certain school holidays and summer periods.
Can my family stay connected with my child's academic progress?
Yes. Parents can use our Family Portal to monitor grades and homework assignments. We believe strong communication between families and teachers is an important part of helping students succeed.
What kind of environment can my child expect at VCA?
Our goal is to provide a safe, welcoming and Christ-centered environment where students are known, encouraged and challenged. We want children to develop academically while also growing in character, responsibility, faith and their relationships with others.
How does VCA prepare eighth-grade students for the transition to high school?
Our middle-school program is designed to strengthen the academic fundamentals, study habits, personal responsibility and character students will need for their next educational step. We encourage families to talk with us early about their child’s high-school goals so we can help them prepare for that transition.
What opportunities are available beyond traditional classroom instruction?
Learning at VCA extends beyond textbooks. Depending on grade level and program availability, students participate in projects, field trips, physical education, art, performing opportunities and other activities designed to develop their interests and make learning engaging.
How will VCA support my child if they are struggling academically?
Because our classes are intentionally smaller, teachers have greater opportunities to recognize when a student needs additional encouragement or support. We work with students and families to identify challenges and help children strengthen the skills they need to move forward confidently.
How does the school communicate with parents when concerns arise?
We believe families and educators work best as partners. Parents have access to academic information through our Family Portal, and we encourage direct communication with teachers and school leadership whenever questions or concerns arise.
How can I determine whether VCA is the right fit for my child before enrolling?
We encourage families to visit us. During your visit, you’ll have an opportunity to learn about our classrooms, curriculum, Christian values, academic expectations and daily school life while asking questions specific to your child’s needs.
What should families consider when comparing VCA with a larger Pre K–12 Christian school?
VCA focuses on the foundational preschool through middle-school years. For families who value personal relationships, Christian discipleship and strong academic fundamentals during these formative years, our Pre K–8 model can provide a close-knit environment before students make the transition into high school.
