Walkathon
Our Annual Walk‑a‑Thon is this week on October 21 & 22, and excitement is building.
A reminder email went out last week, and flyers were sent home, but you can also find more information and register here: VCA PTF
We can’t wait to see our students out there walking, cheering, and showing their VCA spirit.
We’re also thrilled to share that prizes for all students who signed up by 10/15 were handed out on Friday, and our second round of raffle winners are Ava in Kindergarten, Eunice in 2nd grade, and Jasmine in 6th grade.
Congratulations to all three!
Don’t forget, our final raffle will include any student who earns 750 points and raises at least $150, so keep spreading the word to family and friends.
We’re so excited for this year’s Walk‑a‑Thon and can’t wait to celebrate our students’ hard work, enthusiasm, and school spirit all week long.

There will be a Bible Test on Friday
Hello Kindergarten Families!
This week we have some exciting events coming up! On Wednesday we will be having our annual Walk-a-thon event. On Thursday is our Pumpkin Patch day! Please remember to bring in a pumpkin for your child that they can carry. Also, we are asking for a donation of $10 to cover the cost of their lunch and snack for this day. The same pumpkin they bring in for our pumpkin patch will be the one they will use for their project due
October 29th. Details about this project are in this week’s homework packet. If you have any questions please feel free to stop by before or after school.
I hope you all have a blessed week!
First Grade
Ms. Mayer
First grade wants to thank Ms. Mindi and Mrs. Dutton for bringing goodies for the class and letting us celebrate Nehemiah and Jackson’s birthdays. We also want to thank Mrs. Cruz-Michail for coming in and leading reading groups.
If you would like to join a reading group, there is a calendar outside the classroom to sign up. Reading groups are at 1:15, and the kids and I would be excited to have you join us.
We’ll have a sign-up for parent-teacher conferences on the board this week, so keep an eye out. We are in week two of spelling, so keep studying those words at home.
This week’s tests are a Cursive test on Wednesday, a math test on Thursday, and Bible, Spelling, and Phonics on Friday.
Have a blessed week!
