Chili’s Lunches
Lunch starts today. There are two ways to order. Students may turn in cash or a check to their teacher in the morning, or lunches may be placed through the Square link or QR code. Lunch orders must be placed by 9:00 am daily.

Guitar Lessons
Lessons are available on Mondays 3:15 to 3:45 for students in 3rd through 8th Grade. The cost is $50 per month. Contact Mrs. Martinez in the school office to sign up.
PAY FOR GUITAR LESSONS
Drop-In Extended Daycare
Before and after-school daycare is open from 6:00 am to 6:30 pm. The cost is $5 per hour or fraction thereof. Payment is due at the time of service. Payments can be made by cash, check, or through the QR code on the Sign-in/Sign out sheet.
Picture Day
Students should wear chapel attire for Picture Day on September 22. Information on how to order pictures has been sent home. If you need another copy, please stop by the school office.

Pre-Kindergarten
Thank you to all my parents who came to Back to School Night! It was great to see you all there! Also, thank you to all my parents for bringing in tissues and wipes! They are much appreciated and will be used.
We had a great two day first start to school! The kids are adjusting well and learning what they are supposed to do. I am really enjoying getting to know you parents and your children! It’s going to be a fabulous year! God bless!

Bible Verse Test and Apple Tree Poem Test on Friday
Hello Kindergarten Families!
I am excited for our first official full week of school. This week a homework packet will be sent home in your child’s folder on Monday and will be due on Friday. Please continue to bring your child’s folder with them each day. We are encouraging our students to become more independent, so please remind them every morning at drop off to take out their own folder from their backpack. We hope you all have a blessed week!
First Grade

We have our first Bible test on Friday.
It’s the first full week of school! We are so excited to start opening our books and learn what God has for us!
Second Grade
Thank you, Parents, for bringing all the school supplies for your children.
We have our first spelling test and memory verse test on Friday.
It’s only been 2 days but we’re off to a great start. They are learning our routines and procedures for the class.
Third Grade
Thank you to all my parents who came to our Back to School Night. It was so nice to see so many of you here!
We have our first verse and spelling tests coming up this Friday, 9/18.
This week starts our first week of homework. Please look for the weekly homework sheet that will be sent home each Monday. The homework will then be turned in each day. I will also be sending home our first poem to memorize, ”Pumpkin Poem“, which will be recited on 10/2.
Fourth Grade
My wonderful parents who donated water, art supplies, wipes and tissues to our class. We had a great first week of 4th grade!
Friday Bible and Spelling List 1 tests
Please sign the homework slip each night. Please empty out the communication folder each night with work that is to stay at home. Our first novel will be read at home for the book report that will be October 30. I will send out the at home book report assignment on Wednesday, 9/30
Fifth Grade
Thank you to all the parents who came to Back to School Night. It was a pleasure meeting each of you. Special thanks to Mrs. Latap and Ms. Henderson for the special class donations. We Appreciate each of you for helping 5th grade off to a great start.
We wll have a Test on Bible and Spelling this Friday.
Our first week of school was awesome! The students presented their picture collages, we made oobleck, and we learned 5th grade procedures and expectatations for the year.
Middle School
The 7th- and 8th-grade’s first book report will be assigned soon. Keep an eye out for the rubric; it will be sent soon.
Picture Day info was sent home last week. If you would like another form, please let me know. Picture Day is on the 22nd.
I informed students about ASB last week. If your child would like to run for a position and has already informed me, they may begin campaigning this week. Elections are on the 25th, which is a minimum day.
I also shared information about our upcoming field trip to the Western Science Center last week. Please let me know as soon as possible if you would like another form. Everything for that trip is due on the 23rd.
All the students did a great job for their first two days of math. They were attentive and learned the procedures quickly. We will be starting homework this week.
Fundamentals of Math: Quiz 1A Thursday
I am so very excited for this school year! We will continue to learn the rhythms and routines of middle school this week as we dive more into our curriculum for each class. 6th grade is opening chapel this Friday. Parents are always welcome to join us at 9 am.
Information about picture day and our first field trip of the year went home last week. Additionally, ASB elections will be on September 25 if your student is interested in running for a position. May our first full week be blessed!
